A Psychic Look at the Week Ahead and What the Astrology Has to Say
Well, it’s Monday.
This blog I was wanting to go out yesterday.
But apparently Sunday had one more thing that prevented me from getting it out.
A huge tree fell across the power lines on our mountain and we lost electricity.
And internet.
I did have cell service, so there was that. 😝
We’ve actually been trying to get Duke up here for weeks to clear around these power lines so we can finally get the fiber connected that was ordered six or seven weeks ago, but that’s another story.
So, the blog didn’t go out.
I had other plans for Sunday night.
Instead, one tree moved and my whole plan moved with it.
And sitting there on the porch, I started thinking about the last few damn weeks.
It’s kinda been like playing Bingo.
You don’t know what number is getting called next.
You just look at your board, see if you’ve got it, and play the game.
And apparently, I’ve had a lot of the numbers lately.
I’ve been sick. That interrupted things I had planned. Meanwhile, life obviously didn’t politely stop and wait for me to catch up. Plans got moved. Things piled up.

The other day I saw two big-ass spiders on the porch.
Within about an hour, the two giant orb-weavers had built these huge webs.
Each one had their own.
I sat there watching them work ridiculously fast. They found their anchors and went to work right in the middle of everything happening around them.

One connection led to another.
And it’s kind of wild when you just sit there and watch it all unfold right in front of you.
One movement leads to the next.
Move something over here and something shifts over there.
Sound familiar?
Now just keep following along....
We are connecting Dots!
When I wasn’t feeling well, I had my hair pulled up in a ponytail just to keep it out of my face. Until I managed to get the rubber band completely matted into my hair.
And there I was trying to get the damn thing out without ripping half my hair out with it.
At some point I realized I wasn’t getting my hair back to where it was five minutes before.
The rubber band was stuck.
And of course, that got me thinking.
Sometimes you don’t know how something is going to turn out until you actually do it.
You can’t spend your life afraid to try something because it might not work.
And if it doesn’t, sitting there wishing you had never done it isn’t going to get the rubber band out of your hair either.
You look at what’s in front of you.
In my case, start cutting away at the damn rubber band before the whole thing becomes one giant knot.
Clear the gunk.
Keep going.

Which, weirdly enough, is pretty much what I’ve been wanting to do outside too.
Over here in the mountains we have been getting a ton of rain.
So much rain that even the locals are going, how the hell are we still in a drought? 😂
Everything is growing like crazy.
The yard needs work.
Things need cut back.
Except you can’t mow when everything is soaked. You can’t do much with mud everywhere. And every time it starts to dry out, here comes more rain.
So, you wait.
You can’t control the rain.
Let it rain.
Let the rain wash all the BS away and see what’s there when it stops.
And somewhere in all of this I remembered that this actually started even before those spiders.

This huge-ass beetle.
I mean, it was a fat one.
That thing showed up on the porch and sent me down a whole rabbit hole of beetles, scarabs, hard shells and protection.
At the time, I didn’t know what the hell it had to do with anything.
It was just one of those, “Well, that’s weird,” moments.

But it stuck with me longer than it probably should have.
It got my attention in the damn darkness
on my porch. Even my husband didn’t
believe me until he saw this two-inch monstrosity of a Dino beetle.
Something about that hard shell. The way it just showed up out of nowhere like it belonged there.
So, with the spiders showing up.
Getting sick.
The rubber band.
The rain that kept coming.
The weeds and grass growing.
I just kept feeling more and more behind on everything.
And then Sunday night that huge tree came down across the power lines and the lights went out.
Well shit.
It's freaking Bingo.
One thing moves and something else has to move with it.
One thing gets tangled and you figure out how to untangle it.
Something needs doing and the conditions say, nope, not today.
Something gets knocked out completely and now you have to figure out another way.
And those spiders?
They just kept building their webs right in the middle of all of it.
It was time to connect the Dots.
Because I’d been looking at the same damn thing from a bunch of different directions.
So, I looked at the astrology...

Uranus is in Gemini.
Which, considering everything I had just been sitting there thinking about...
This was kinda funny.
Gemini is connections. Communication. Information. Technology. Movement. How one thing connects to another.
Dots... Webs....
We’ve also just come out of Mercury retrograde and its shadow.
Things getting moved around.
Plans changing.
Trying to catch back up.
And now things are shifting again.
Mercury moved into Leo yesterday.
Mars moves out of Gemini and into Cancer tomorrow.
And then August 12, we have a total solar eclipse in Leo.
So apparently Leo wants our attention.
Creation. Expression. What we put out there. What we’re willing to stand behind and say, yep, that’s mine.
And here's where I had to laugh.
Sunday night the power goes out and I'm sitting on my porch in the dark.
In Three days... we will have a total solar eclipse.
Of course we do. 😂
B-22.
Bingo?!?!
Another number on the board.
But maybe that’s the part worth watching over the next week or two.
Things have been moving.
Plans have been changing. Some things have gotten tangled up and
some things we’ve had absolutely no control over.
Maybe we don’t need to have all of it figured out before we move.
Maybe we just need to see what’s actually in front of us.
Sometimes You Need a Flashlight...

Which brings me back around to Sunday night.
The electricity was out.
The thing I needed was downstairs in my office.
And it was dark.
For some reason I was sitting there thinking that well ... crap I can't.
Sometimes You Need a Flashlight... i was thinking.
Except I own a flashlight.
Of course I do. 😂
I didn’t need all the lights back on.
I just needed enough light to see where I was going.
And maybe that’s kinda where we are right now.
We like to know what’s coming before we move. We want to know how something is going to work out. We want to know we’re making the right decision.
We want to see the whole damn road.
But sometimes we can’t.
Sometimes plans change.
Sometimes the number that gets called wasn’t the one we were waiting for.
So, you look at your board.
You work with what’s actually in front of you.
Maybe you find an anchor, rebuild the web, cut the damn rubber band, or put your shell on and keep moving.
Maybe you wait for the rain to stop. Or maybe you grab a flashlight and keep going.
We don’t know what gets called next.
B6.
I22.
N38.
But whatever it is, see if it’s on your Bingo board.
It’s time to play the game.
It's time to Just Connect the Dots.
P.S. And maybe that’s part of why I’m here.
Sometimes you just need someone to help you look at what’s on your board and connect a few of those Dots.
If that’s where you are, reach out. Make an appointment. Come take a workshop. Let’s see what we find.
And one more thing.
A few of y’all have told me these blog emails keep ending up in spam or you just never get them.
I’ve started putting The Blog over on Substack too. It’s free and a lot easier to subscribe over there.
Come find me on Substack: Kristi Wandering Gypsy
The blog isn’t leaving my website. You can still read it right here.
Substack is just another way to make sure you actually get the damn thing. 😂
